The Universal Battery Tester is a high end laboratory instrument used for testing of Lead acid batteries for Automotive & Industrial applications. It can also be used for Ni-Cd cell packs. The tester is designed to function for conducting Life cycle test, capacity tests & many more as per IS, IEC, JIS, BS,DIN standards. It performs the charge & discharge function as per programmed parameters. It is a completely Automated unit & operates from a computer with Digatron’s dedicated test software BTS600/Battery Manager.

The Universal Battery tester(UBT) featured in here works on Linear technology. The Unit is designed with single or multiple circuit configuration depending of the power rating. The multiple circuit unit configuration is customized to include circuits of different current ratings within a single cabinet.

The Universal Battery Tester (UBT) suits to perform Standardized test schedules (EN, DIN, SAE, IEC,JS etc.) and/or user defined test schedules for automotive batteries and all other types of batteries.

The modular power module design, the combination of a variety of options and the flexible program editor allow setting up an automated IEC test stand effecting long term cycle life and cold cranking tests without any manual battery handling.

The unit is designed on an economic scale to suit most quality assurance labs with all routine tests covered. This suits all industrial cell/battery testing wherein high speed switching is not a necessity.The UBT can also be built with a premium model to include high speed switching between charge , discharge functions & vice versa, specially for Start stop tests , FUDS etc.. The premium unit has a solid state switching where changeover from Charge to Discharge, vice versa can be accomplished in about 10 millisecond, much to the requirement of these tests. Ador Digatron brings the flexibility to choose the models depending on the application intended thus providing the right kind of technology unit that might be desired.
